Dunvalanree has had many guests over the years and continues to welcome returning guests each year as a testament to our rooms, food and hospitality.
"This was our fourth stay at Dunvalanree and our time there was as wonderful as we could have hoped. Such a beautiful place - nothing compares to the view from Dunvalanree and the atmosphere and standard of service created by Alyson and Alan is outstanding. Warm, relaxed and fantastic food. As a predominantly vegetarian family the bliss of finding somewhere with a choice of imaginative food cannot be underestimated! Dunvalanree also manages to impress our increasingly grown up children - no mean feat! We hope to return many times."

"This was a lovely getaway place to celebrate our silver wedding, having been recommended to us by friends visiting the previous month. We pass on this recommendation to anyone who appreciates a friendly, personal approach, lovely food, pretty surroundings... a return visit is a must!"

"This is a lovely place with nice rooms and friendly people. Alan and Allison are great. The food is incredible! We have a kayak and find the beach to be a nice launching place and there are some beautiful paddles from there. There are some nice walks from there. One goes past this lovely goldsmith shop..... We have stayed there three times now and will probably go back."

"Our fourth visit and as before everything just what we were looking for - even the weather. Saturday was beautiful - to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary. We never mentioned to Alan and Alyson why we were there - yet they remembered from a previous visit. To our surprise our table for the evening meal was suitably decorated. This is a special home from home place - with attention, service, company and food to beat the best anywhere. We awoke to a cuckoo, the waves of the sea, garden birds and sun straight in the window. Dunvalanree gives new meaning to the phrase "a dead end" - because it is the perfect place to finish a single track road!!"

"A warm and friendly welcome from this family run hotel. Fantastic views over to the Isle of Arran and proved handy for a visit to Campbeltown and the Isle of Gigha. Will come back soon."

"What can we say about the Dunvalanree.Well one could go on about the wonderfull food, the fantastic service, the superb views, and last but by no means least the attention given to each and every guest by Alyson & Alan was far more than we had expected.Without doubt this small hotel is well worth a visit if you are in the area. we both Hope to return many times in the future."

"We really needed a relaxing break when we headed to the Mull of Kintyre. What we found at Dunvalanree was a warm welcome, comfortable surroundings and genial hosts. We had a lovely short break and it was really good to find somewhere that served beautifully cooked fresh food and good wine. An excellent small hotel which well deserves its' reputation. David and Kath P.S. They even had Fairtrade tea and coffee in the rooms. Brilliant!"

"Probably the best restaurant we have ever dined in. Very friendly, with a homely atmosphere; the Arran beers are a must! Spent the evening chatting to other guests over our meal, very Agatha Christie. Highly recommended for the food, but the views of Port Righ are simply unbeatable. A must if you are ever in Kintyre.
